Its the Little Things
So everytime that we make a trip to Salt Lake we have to stop at Ikea. There is just something about walking that big circle of happiness, dreaming, and adding things to our big blue bag.
Every time we go there are a few things that we will always grab. One of them will shock you, we will always #1 grab kitchen bags. You know the lunch baggy type bags? Why? Because they recycle better, they have really amazing sizes for the freezer and they are so dang cheep. They have become a staple in this house and we will always stock up on them when we visit.
So this last time we went we had no intention of getting a new bed frame. But this beauty just popped out to us and we couldn’t pass up on the price. You see we have had our old frame for about 6 years and we have broke it about 2x and it was just ready to die. We got this amazing metal frame bed for for only $99! It’s super sturdy and we are very impressed with how it turned out.
Don’t forget all the accessories when it comes to your bed. I love Ikea for its pillow covers. They are they only place I can find Euro pillow covers for less than $9,99. You can also grab a few different throw pillow covers to change it up for $4.99 each. I use different colors all the time on my bed and couch.
Its no surprise that Ikea is the place to go to get your life organized. There are 2 different products that I grab when I go.
First are these drawer organizers. They are perfect for those undies and sock drawers. I also use them to organize my business stuff on my open shelves in my office. The best thing about them is that they are only $5,99 for a 5 pack of different sizes.
Next are these plastic bins. Then have a dip in front so they make for a classy look in my pantry and in my laundry cupboard. We use these to hold cleaners to miscellaneous items. They come in different sizes and range from $2.99-$5.99. I don’t know why I like these so much but I do. They are super sturdy and are an all around great product to get organized…for cheap!
There are so many great things to get at IKEA and so many that are hidden. This last haul we got a new comforter for Tatum for $19, new vintage inspired wine glasses 6pk for $17, hanging flower pots for $7.99, and little kitchen goodies we couldn’t live without.
Things that we don’t like at IKEA are pretty minimal. #1 being their textiles. Their thread count is awful and I will never buy bath towels or sheets from them.
What are some of your favorites from IKEA?
